First to introduce pizza here |
3995 Main Street Vancouver, BC V5V 3P3 Canada +1 604 879 0020 |
The traditional recipes used in creating Cipriano's pizzas date back to 1953, when the owner's father, Guiseppe Cipriano, introduced the large, flat and round crust to Vancouver. This hidden, understated gem captures the romantic look and feel of an old country ristorante: stucco walls, chequered tablecloths and hanging Tiffany lamps. A satiating meal is composed of the Caesar alla Christina salad, Francesco's Fredo Pasta and an Italian red or white from the wine list. Other non-pasta entrées include the Veal Calabrese, Chicken Roma and Ribs Mediterranean. Don't be deceived by the restaurant's shabby look. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Worth checking out in Kitsilano |
3617 West Broadway Vancouver, BC V6R 2B8 Canada +1 604 738 1113 |
"This Greek eatery that opened is yet another restaurant in Kitsilano that is well worth checking out. It is the one with the can't-miss-it red signboard with gold type above the terrace. A vintage floor-model radio serves as the reception desk. Inside, candlelight romantically brightens the dark-wood-veneered dining room. Chandeliers add style to the place, while a sit-down bar keeps it easygoing. House specialties include lamb (Paithakia Riganata), seafood (Salmon Riganato Skaras) and pizza (pesto and zucchini with artichokes and pine nuts). For dessert, there is the Bougatsa: Lemon custard in phyllo pastry." Review © 2007, Wcities |

Feel like a slice of Tropical Pig? This little gourmet pizza place offers its own version of the Hawaiian standard. Whether by the single piece or whole pie, it will be tasty and inventive any way you slice it. Take it to go, or sit down and enjoy the bright, casual atmosphere. There are vegetarian choices as well. At around CAD3 per slice, it is a good deal considering the generous servings. They also serve soups and salads. Review © 2007, Wcities |
