This suburban eatery has everything one would expect in the steak section. Holed up in a secluded area, the ambience is warm and welcoming, with an efficient staff on hand. Settle down and begin with the Scallops & Bacon (bacon-wrapped scallops in a Martini cocktail sauce). The well-done Sirloin steaks, accompanied by the house salad or a juicy sprig of asparagus are a pleasure to bite into, but for something different, try the Classic dinners. A plethora of traditional steaks, including Filet Mignon and some rare combinations feature on the menu. Ribs and chicken dishes are available too, as are sumptuous fish medallions. A kids' menu makes this all the more a family place, so bring the gang along!

This modern sushi bar has sushi and robata chefs who indulge customers with their healthy sense of humour. It has a chic, modern style with a hint of Japanese tradition. The unique atmosphere is enhanced by jazz that plays softly in the background. Ask for the classic Sunomono salad as a starter and watch for the robata specialties. The restaurant's hallmark dishes include Japanese Eggplant and Tiger Prawns cooked on the Robata. If it's available, don't miss the Cooked Shiitake Mushrooms.

What was once a household name in Hong Kong is fast becoming a hot spot downtown. It is considered one of the best Cantonese restaurants in the province and has won numerous awards. Award-winning architect Bing Thom designed the two-storey, which adds a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere. Modern lighting fixtures, skylights and huge windows complete the décor. On the menu is traditional Southern Chinese cuisine. Try the Roasted Squab: it is delicious and believed to remove toxins from the body. Dim sum selections and a large variety of seafood delicacies are on the menu.

Watch the late afternoon sun slowly setting on the horizon on English Bay in Stanley Park. Voted the most romantic restaurant in Vancouver, it featured tea rooms are full of character, setting a serene dining mood. The West Coast menu includes mushrooms stuffed with crab, shrimp, scallion, and emmentaler as an appetizer. Grilled salmon wrapped in buttered pastry and crab-and-spinach-filled ravioli topped with bouillabaisse cream are great choices for an entrée.

This cozy café serves up comfort food that will leave your mouth watering and your body relaxed. Choose from fresh Halibut to Rack of Lamb. Vegetarians can order the Three Cheese Spinach Ravioli. If you wish to have a cocktail and appetizer, there is a large menu to accommodate. For a simpler fare there is the Baked Macaroni and Cheese, and for a more refined taste try the Chorizo and Beer Mussels. The décor is composed of an array of native artifacts and artwork; there are portraits of First Nations nobility, baskets, carvings, and settlers' tools; and most of all, the portions are huge. The Yukon breakfast, for example, has five slices of back bacon, two eggs, hash browns, and toast. Many of the burgers are named after First Nations chiefs, such as Chief Capilano (onion, lettuce, wiener, egg, cheese, tomato, Tomahawk special sauce and dill pickle), and the Chief Raven (Tomahawk special sauce and dill pickle).
