This impressive community arts and recreation centre opened its doors in 1997 and is located in the eastside of downtown. Though its main aim is to provide community classes and social programs to the residential and commercial communities within the neighbourhood, the centre also serves the entire city. It offers a number of public, educational and entertaining activities, including exhibits, presentations, oral narratives, seminars and multimedia events with themes ranging from the environment to cultural differences.
