Stanley Park's Malkin Bowl has been home to this drama guild for nearly six decades. Large-scale Broadway productions like The King and I and Oklahoma marked its first years. It closed down in 1963 due to inclement weather but re-opened its doors in 1969 with help from volunteers, businessmen and a local amateur theatre group. The Theatre Under The Stars Musical Society now operates the theatre. I holds two major productions every summer with a cast and crew of non-professionals and volunteers. Review © 2009, Wcities |
