Elegant Venetian restaurant |
Castello, 3968 (Campiello della Pescaria, 3968) Venice, Veneto 30135 Italy +39 41 5223812 |
This restaurant is located in the quiet Campiello della Pescaria district. While relatively new on the Venice restaurant scene, it has quickly achieved a devoted clientele. With a somewhat rustic exterior, you will find the interior decor and ambience to be elegant and refined, with two dining rooms—one of which has a pretty garden. The cuisine is traditional Venetian with many fresh seafood choices (the Pasta with Scallops is excellent). The quasi-American desserts are a perfect ending to the meal. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Top cuisine in the city centre |
Calle del Scaleter, 2202 Venice 30121 Italy +39 41 72 1308 http://www.dafiore.com/ |
This fine dining establishment used to be a plain trattoria in the city center, but a few years ago the establishment was completely renovated. It has now become one of the best known and most popular dining choices in Venice. The Black Squid Risotto is mouthwatering, as is the Bass in Balsamic Vinegar and Tuna with Rosemary. Try something from the high quality wine list. A sumptuous dessert is the perfect end to a meal here. The service is impeccable. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Very elegant restaurant |
Calle Vallaresso, 1325 Venice, Veneto 30124 Italy +39 41 520 0211 |
This restaurant belongs to the Hotel Monaco and Grand Canal, located in Calle Vallaresso, a few metres from the Vaporetto stop. The location is appealing—the romantic terrace faces the Church della Salute and gondolas. The romantic dining room is dimly lit by lovely Venetian chandeliers. The cuisine includes many creative fish and vegetable dishes, and excellent starters and desserts. Combining the winning service and menu with a superb wine list, with the possibility of spotting a celebrity or two, and you have the reason behind this restaurant being a top dining choice. Hemingway's Favourite Restaurant |
Calle Vallaresso, 1323 Venice 30124 Italy +39 41 528 5777 |
This is one of Venice's best restaurants and for good reasons. Saying that the service is excellent is an understatement and the menu features only the freshest and best quality ingredients. The Risotto and the Cod are popular menu selections. The bar maintains the same high caliber, and has excellent Martini. The space is somewhat small and cozy, so it is recommended that reservations are made in advance. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Old Venetian Restaurant |
San Polo 778, Ruga Rialto Venice 30124 Italy +39 41 522 6546 http://www.anticodolo.it |
The atmosphere of this old restaurant is homely and intimate; and features a small and cozy dining room with just a few tables. The menu is traditionally Venetian with an excellent selection of Sausages and high-quality Meat and Fish choices. The tagliolini with scampi makes a perfect starter; then try the cod for your main course. Booking is advisable due to popularity and limited seating, especially in the evening.
