Small, dark (it never seemes to be daytime in Alt Wien), and with nicotine-stained walls, this café is a favorite with artists, intellectuals and Bohemians. Posters and handbills cover the walls touting local happenings of all sorts. The menu is small but excellent; the Goulash (beef stew seasoned with paprika, originally from Hungary) being a popular choice.
