As in any other European city, there are more than a handful of Greek restaurants in Vienna. Der Grieche, however, stands out from the masses. The chef is extraordinary and the waiters are fast. The interior creates a modern look. There are two gardens, one on Barnabitengasse and one in the backyard of the building. Bar Nostos lies opposite the restaurant, a good place to stop by after a meal. Its location off Mariahilferstrasse makes it the ideal place to relax after a shopping trip, and there is also a cinema (Apollo) just around the corner.
