This is a place that is steeped in history. It is considered one of the oldest houses in Vienna, with rooms that are furnished with much of the original furniture and fitted with dark tables whilst valuable antique carpets line the wooden floors. Even the many signatures to be found on the walls were witness to the heyday of Vienna's culture - Beethoven, Grillparzer and Strauss are amongst those who have dined here. The kitchen offers veritable Viennese specialities but mixes these with other international favorites in an effort to accommodate the tastes of visitors to Vienna. Review © 2009, Wcities
