If you stay at the Hotel Imperial, you might well find some grim-looking soldiers with MPs in and around the hotel. No cause for alarm, chances are you have an important politician sleeping under the same roof. This is one of the grandest of the top hotels in the city. Its over-the-top Ringstrasse-style is best captured in the hotel's monumental marble staircase and opulent bedrooms. In 1994, it was voted as "The World´s Best Hotel" by readers of Condé Nast Traveller.
