This town house lies in a side street, just yards from St. Stephan's Cathedral. It dates back to the 14th century and in the 1800s hosted many famous musicians, such as Wagner and Liszt. Persian rugs lie on parquet floors in the elegant public rooms. The fin-de-siècle bedrooms are also smartly decorated and well kept. Should you fancy a stroll around the shops in the daytime, the nearby pedestrian zone is ideal and offers ample opportunity for enjoying one's favorite tipple once night falls.
