The Sacher is an authentic 19th century café with paintings from this era and piano music in the entrance hall. The authentic Sachertorte began its conquest of the gourmet world from this coffee house. The recipe for this brilliant combination of chocolate and apricot jam remains a secret of the Hotel Sacher.
