This island is 20km long and as there are no cars allowed it is a perfect area for roller-skating. It is even possible to skate in winter if there is no snow. During the summer months it is pretty crowded with families and children. The best region is from the north-west end of the island to the Praterbrücke. First, you skate to the top of the island and, passing the Reichsbrücke, change your path down to the beach of the Neue Donau. Near the Reichsbrücke there are some steps for doing stunts.
