Here is Vienna in a microcosm: a hotel, a tavern, a Heuriger wine cellar and a coffeehouse, all in a central, nicely renovated Biedermeier passage courtyard in the third district. The spacious bedrooms, 20 of them non-smoking, almost all looking down on the cobbled and pedestrian passages, are very quiet and furnished with smart Biedermeier-style furniture. Here, you can almost feel the ghost of Metternich, the glitzy parties and elegant soirees of the Biedermeiers.
