First Proper Museum in Vienna

The Borse Palais houses the Museum of Military History featuring numerous collections dating back to the 16th century. Designed by the "father of historicism" Baron Theophil von Hansen, the Palais is a prime example of the typical clean lines of Viennese architecture popularized during the Renaissance. The Palais is also used as a classical music venue showcasing performances by the Vienna Residence Orchestra.
