Post is a good, inexpensive hotel in a central but quiet location in the First District, close to Stephansplatz. Famous people such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Josef Haydn, Richard Wagner, Leos Janacek and Friedrich Nietzsche once stayed in this hotel, formerly called "Zum weissen Ochsen" (The White Ox). The big, old-fashioned rooms have high ceilings and modern furnishings. Most of the rooms are en suite, but there are also some cheaper ones with shared shower and toilet accessed off of the corridor. Review © 2009, Wcities |
