If you need a break from the city and would like to recharge your batteries the newly renovated Roman thermal bath (Römertherme Baden), about 25 kilometers south of Vienna is the perfect place. Situated in the elegant spa town of Baden, the thermal bath is covered by an immense glass dome, the biggest of all thermal baths in Europe. The interesting building - a mixture of the architecture from around the turn of the last century and modern style - hosts all kinds of modern spa facilities: various thermal pools, a whirlpool, a sulphur pool, a swimming pool, a special pool for kids and a large sauna area including armoatherapy, herbal steam baths, a Finnish and an Osmanian Sauna as well as a "bio-sauna" with special light therapy programmes.
