The bookshop was founded by "Third-World"-Organisations and aims at improving the understanding of developing countries. It sells relevant theoretical books and a large choice of literature from Africa, Latin America and Asia. Addicts of Worldmusic will find a fine selection of CDs. Profits are used to support organizations providing information about the Third World. Right next door is the gallery of the Afro-Asiatic Institute which is worth a visit.
