This area of the Old Danube was acquired by the blue and white collar workers in the past and there were certain difficulties associated with it. The style, the names of the streets and the public swimming pools in the neighborhood; for example, the Eisenbahnerbad (pool of the railway workers), still remind us of its ancient Viennese history. Today this public pool has been extended to accommodate modern pools and a lot more sports facilities. The old poplar trees give a wonderful shade in the heat of the summer. Review © 2009, Wcities |
