Johann Strauss composed "The Blue Danube" waltz in the 2nd district, Praterstraße 54. Schubert died in the 4th district, Kettenbrückengasse 6, and the house where he was born is found in Nussdorfer Straße 54 in the 9th district. Mozart spent the happiest years of his life in his apartment situated in the 1st district, Domgasse 5, in which he composed the "Marriage of Figaro". Haydn's last residence was in the 6th district, Haydngasse 19, and Gluck's former residence is found in Wiedner Hauptstraße 32, in the 4th district.
