This restaurant, which was founded as early as 1618, was named after the fine food and spice merchant, Johann Baptiste Cameel. The particular blends of spices paricular to this man are still put to good use in this restaurant, which is a real stickler for observing worthy traditions. Zum Schwarzen Kaamel has now become a favorite meeting place for prominent figures in Viennese society. In the front of the establishment there is a delicatessen and a "Imbiss" counter and the restaurant behind all this retains a very exclusive feel. It is the perfect place to sample the finer side of Viennese cuisine. Review © 2009, Wcities |
