The colonial flavor of Old Town and the strong breezes gusting off the Potomac River make the waterfront a popular destination nearly any time. Once a year, however, the area draws more than 80,000 visitors for this annual festival, one of the largest and most popular family events in the Washington area. Live music and a variety of nautical displays are offered, along with arts and crafts, food, children's activities and games.
