The David Greggory Restau-Lounge serves what it terms as 'American Retro Cuisine' - the dishes here, however, seem to be globally influenced. You can, for instance, start off with Hummus and Pita, move on to Seared Halibut or Garam Masala Grilled Salmon, and end your meal with the delectable Cloud-in-a-Pudding dessert. The richest of wines are available to accompany your meal - the special wine list, Dry Roses of Summer, deserves a special mention. This eatery was the recipient of the Wine Spectator's 'Award of Excellence 2005', and is also actively involved in supporting local artistic communities and organisations (among them are designer Ted Baker, photographer Helvio Faria, and glass artists Tate and Erwin Timmers). There are also lots of events organised here - take, for instance, the Aphrodisiac Bacon Dinners held every Monday at 7p, and the Pork and Pinot Dinners held every Wednesday. Review © 2009, Wcities |
