Though patrons sometimes wait hours for tables in Hisao Abe's second-floor Palisades sushi joint (no reservations are accepted), it's worth it. Most rolls are a dollar apiece; even luxury fish like fatty tuna or yellowtail will set you back less than $3. The quality of the fish ranks among the highest in DC. Offerings other than sushi are sparse, but the fish is the star here, and it's hard to miss teriyaki chicken while gobbling lobster rolls and salmon sashimi.
