One of the finest Ethiopian restaurants in Washington, Meskerem's cuisine is spicy and the decor, extremely bright. Food is served in the traditional way, with a thick crepe-like pancake called Injera. Spicy beef stews, milder chicken curries and sampler platters are house standards. The menu also includes vegetarian dishes served with tomato and potato salads. The restaurant has a full bar; the wine list includes Ethiopian wine and beer.
