The food is the focus and this popular Mexican place in Adams-Morgan. Lively mariachi and other kinds of Mexican music create a cheerful atmosphere. The tacos here are the real deal, served only with deliciously grilled meat. There is a zest to the seasonings at Mixtec (the kitchen uses some 200 different spices), resulting in flavors that can easily be distinguished from one another.
