Where the senators dine |
107 D Street NE Washington DC 20002 +1 202 546 4488 |
This restaurant, just a stone's throw from the Senate side of the Capitol, attracts a fair number of politicians. Styled after a saloon, but very upscale in its rendition, The Monocle has a handsome bar and wood-and-brass accents. It is open to the public only during the week; on weekends it is reserved for private parties. American fare is served here, with seafood and steaks dominating the menu. A variety of pasta entrees are also offered, dressed in light sauces. Review © 2009, Wcities |
