Japanese in the New World revive a wee bit of their rich culture during this fest, while locals and tourists get a lowdown of the same, much to their delight. Held on different streets of the city every year, the event showcases quintessentially Japanese traditions, such as Taiko drumming, kids' song-and-dance, magic shows, paper making workshops and grand parades, complete with costumes and floats. A smorgasbord of Japanese cuisine accompanies the festivities, assuring guests of a full energy tank at all times. Amble down the streets, learn the art of origami and listen to pop groups—at the end of the day, you might find yourself a true Japanophile!
