This downtown establishment is decorated to resemble the gentlemen's clubs of long ago. But rather than giving off any air of exclusivity, Shelly's is more of a fanciful theme-club where everyone is welcome. The gracious setting includes high-backed armchairs from which a diverse clientele sip from swollen glasses and tap cigars. Large windows lighten up the front room. Though the decor is reminiscent of a bygone era, the menu hails from this day and age. There are burgers, salads, soups and sandwiches.
