The eastern shore of the Anacostia River is home to Arena Stage, Benjamin Banneker Circle and Fountain and L'Enfant Plaza. The waterfront runs several blocks along Maine Avenue SW with piers, sailboats, yachts, fishing boats, seafood markets and restaurants to explore. Visit the historic Fish Wharf to people-watch and pick up fresh seafood, or stroll around the residential areas of Old Southwest to see picturesque urban renewal architecture. The attractions in Southwest are in walking distance of each other and well-connected by the DC metro.
