A colorful display case of Indian sweets greets patrons at the entrance of this large, but very simple dining room. South Indian food is strictly vegetarian;no meat, fish or eggs;and a bit spicier than its northern counterparts. The signature dish of the region is the dosas;a thin rice crepe folded around several choices of fillings: sauteed potatoes, vegetables and onions. These are accompanied by coconut chutney and a lentil curry. Alcohol is not served here, but an espresso bar serves coffees and teas.
