Il Casino is a top-class restaurant that has been offering outstanding Italian food with impeccable service since 1976. Both formal and semi-formal surroundings - a garden conservatory and pizzeria - provide choice for diners. In winter diners enjoy an open fire, and a piano bar all year. Private rooms cater for groups from four to 40. Mouth-watering and memorable meals are served day in and day out. For those seeking a simpler meal, the traditional wood-burning oven cooks up authentic Italian pizza. The restaurant is licensed.

Frequented by food lovers of all persuasions and those romantics intent on the surprise menu at 150 NZD (includes all food, wine and taxes). Not cheap, but varied. Menu changes regularly but you will always find a mouth-watering selection of entrees and wonderful sounding mains like Beef Fillet Redemption.

It is also known for its great desserts and pre-theatre suppers. Parties are catered for upstairs.

This small (seats 30), discreet restaurant is elegantly decked out. The dining room is non-smoking though there is a relaxing smoking room if you need a puff. Recipient of numerous awards including, the prestigious Corbans Fine Food Challenge Menu. The seasonal menu features Fish, Lamb and other carefully prepared local delicacies. The wine list is extensive; Cheese Platter of note. Expensive, but worth it.
