This spectacular theme park proudly boasts the largest zoo in the North, caring for over one thousand animals including flamingos and lions. Flamingo Land has no less than eight roller-coaster rides including Europe's first triple looping one! For something far gentler have a go on the carousel or dodgems. There are lots of shows to choose from such as the Sea Lion Show and the Big Top Circus. Add to this a bowling alley, elephant rides, a children's farm and countless places where you can eat and drink, and you have a truly memorable day out.

Staintondale shire-horse farm is situated on the North York Moors National Park coastline and is easily found, being well signposted from the A171 Scarborough to Whitby Road. It was presented with the White Rose Award for Tourism in 1993 and is a fantastic day out for all the family, with the children being actively encouraged to join in and help with the Shetland ponies. There are opportunities for walks and an intriguing cliff-top trail. There is a cottage museum and video cinema, picnic and play areas as well as a cafe and souvenir shop, all here at this unique farm. Admission: adults £3.50; OAP £3.00; children £2.50.
