Eastons was voted B&B of the year in 1996 and it is not difficult to see why. It is a superior bed and breakfast guest house which has been immaculately decorated in the style of William Morris with period furnishings and some original paintings too. Converted from two Victorian town houses, Eastons proudly displays many original features such as marble fireplaces with working fires. The en-suite bedrooms have been individually decorated, making this a really special place to stay.

Set in over 70 acres of beautiful parkland, this is a splendid castle house, which has only recently been converted into a luxurious hotel. Most bedrooms have private sitting rooms and are located either in the main building or throughout the many other smaller buildings across the courtyard. This is a truly luxurious place to stay whilst visiting North Yorkshire. The hotel also includes a cookery school and the Prickly Pear restaurant.

Mount Royale

Superior hotel with unique features
The Mount
York, North Yorkshire YO24 1GU
United Kingdom

http://www.mountroyale.co.uk
The Mount Royale is just minutes away from York's famous racecourse and just a short walk from the city centre with all its many tourist attractions and shops. This is a well cared for and all round first class hotel which offers a little bit more than just the usual facilities. Some rooms even have individual features such as the garden rooms with their orange and lemon trees and semi-tropical plants, which are rather lovely and unusual to say the least.
