This two-day festival is a celebration of Native American heritage. The festival is open to the public, and a great way to learn about local Native American culture. The celebration will feature traditional Miwok dancing and dress. Here, you will find traditional arts and crafts, as well as other Native American items. Some vendors may accept credit cards; however, admission and food purchases require cash. This family event is non-smoking, and alcohol is not permitted. See their website for event times. Over 23 years old, this wine fest offers connoisseurs the opportunity to savor over 32 different Californian wines. Each of the eight sessions is dedicated to four different wineries and ends with a five-course dinner in the Ahwahnee's gorgeous dining room. The Yosemite Institute is a non-profit organization and offers special residential programs for students, youngsters and families, in which information about nature and nature studies is provided. This 30 year old program is conducted in a classroom manner and there are experts who guide you. Information on how to conseve nature and delicate ecosystems is also given.
